Next Meeting: November 12, 6:30pmWatercolor memo by John Bowen, preceded by Member Spotlight
John's background as an illustrator has made him a "detail" watercolorist of the highest order. His experience allows him to convey the mood and story of the scene through the use of dramatic lighting and vibrant color. A detailed drawing eventually morphs into a relaxed style of painting. Working with watercolors has always intrigued John, and the challenge and excitement of this medium has never left him.
John paints to keep Florida's history alive. "This is a passion with me," says the artist. "I believe in keeping history alive by both painting it and helping to preserve it."

Works by Nancy Brown, September - November
Reception: Friday November 14, 6:30-8:00pm in the Cafe, Whole Foods Wellington
completing photography and design courses in New York, Brown began to pursue her passion and grow her career as a
pro photographer. Her creative outlook and background in the fashion and
modeling field has given her inside knowledge and a first-hand look into the art
of photographing people. As a photographer, she creates an understanding and
vision of the shot before it takes place.
Brown emphasizes the importance of the relationship between photographer and subject in order to create a
real image. She has taken her years of experience as a professional
photographer to become one of the leading commercial photographers in the
business traveling around the world to complete her assignments."
