“HeART & Soul” is a Pop-Up Art Gallery (the Gallery) at “The District” of the Mall at Wellington Green (the Mall) run by the Wellington Art Society (WAS) from February 12th through the 16th, 2025. The Gallery will be a source of local art, all available for sale to the patrons of the Mall and invited guests. WAS manages the Gallery and this Call to Artists. The Mall is providing the gallery space and will provide additional promotion for the exhibition. This Call to Artists is available only to WAS Members.
This Call to Artists is for 2D and 3D artwork. There is no theme requirement for the artwork in this show. The gallery has a grid hanging system to hold 2D artwork. 3D artwork may be either hung or displayed on pedestals (provided by the artist). The jurying of the artwork will be done by the Gallery Committee. A limited amount of 6’ rectangular vendor tables are available to interested artists for prints and small items. The display of prints and small items for sale will be at the discretion of the Mall, the Gallery Committee and the individual artist.

Eligibility to Apply:
Only WAS members may apply to this Call to Artists.
WAS membership must be paid for the 2024-2025 year to submit to this show.
Accepted Artists are REQUIRED to be present at the reception AND volunteer at the event. If the artist cannot attend or volunteer, they should not apply for this show.
Accepted artists must volunteer for AT LEAST four (4) hours which may include assisting with showing and selling the art and/or providing art demos for the public during the gallery hours below.
The gallery will be open during these times:
Wednesday, Feb 12 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, Feb 13 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday, Feb 14 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, Feb 15 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, Feb 16 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
How to Submit:
Please read the attached Artist Agreement to determine if you would like to submit to this show and if you can abide by all the artist’s responsibilities.
The artist application is open beginning December 22, 2024, with a firm deadline of January 25, 2025. The non-refundable application fee to submit your work is $40 for up to 3 pieces of art. All artists are guaranteed at least 1 piece of art will be accepted into this show. Artist will receive an email notification of their accepted pieces by January 31, 2025.
Submission is a TWO STEP process:
We can only process your application after BOTH steps are completed.
STEP 1: Please click on the link below to fill in your application form.
You will be asked to submit a copy of your Artist Statement and a high-resolution headshot for publicity.
Name your image files as follows: “LastName_TitleofArtwork.jpg” (Example: Smith_KissfromaRose.jpg)
Accepted File Types: jpg, jpeg, pdf - No larger than 5 MB
STEP 2: After submitting your application, visit the WAS PayPal Link to submit $40 application fee.

Art Drop Off will be on Wednesday, February 12 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Art Pick Up and Clean Up will be on Sunday, February 16 from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
