FULL CIRCLE: The Artist’s Journey - Cynthia George
Cynthia George’s Solo Show will run from April 7 to June 2, 2026 at the Village of Wellington City Hall. Reception will be held Tuesday April 28, 5-7pm.
Cynthia George, a BFA graduate in Theatrical Production from the University of Florida, has built a creative life shaped by transformation and imagination. Long before her journey into fine art began, she was already a storyteller—bringing characters to life behind the scenes of film and major theme parks. At Disney and Universal Studios, she helped transform actors into beloved figures like Shrek and the Grinch, mastering the delicate magic of illusion through special effects makeup.
That foundation in transformation and character now breathes through every canvas she creates.
Today, Cynthia has traded prosthetics for palette knives and acrylic paint, channeling her artistry into vivid wildlife portraits that seem to pulse with life. Each piece carries a sense of movement and spirit, as if her subjects might step beyond the frame at any moment. Her work balances technical precision with emotional depth, often weaving in touches of whimsy and lightness—yet always grounded in storytelling.
For Cynthia, a painting is never just an image—it is a voice waiting to be heard.
Whether gentle or bold, comforting or thought-provoking, each piece invites the viewer into a quiet conversation. Through her art, Cynthia creates a space where stories unfold, emotions resonate, and connections are formed—honest, personal, and profoundly real.
