Instructor: Ayesha DeLorenzo
Ayesha DeLorenzo is a Wellington, Florida-based, self-taught realist oil painter known for large-scale, evocative coastal landscapes that explore the tension between turbulence and tranquility. As a retired engineer and musician, she combines intuition and harmony to paint entirely from memory without using reference photos.
Creates large-scale realist oil paintings of coastal storms, seas, and skies to mirror the internal human psyche.
Paints completely extempore and from memory; uses a strictly natural palette alongside dynamic brushwork to build spontaneous, deep, and luminous textures.
Rejects predetermined outcomes, treating each canvas as an active dialogue that finishes only when she and the artwork reach a mutual agreement.
