SOLO ART EXHIBITION: DRAWN BY THE LIGHT - Heather Bergstrom

“My art expresses the joy and wonder I find in everyday life. Through my acrylic and oil paintings, illustrations, and charcoal drawings, I create soul-touching scenes that draw the viewer into intimate, meaningful moments. By capturing these simple, relatable experiences, I offer a space for reflection and connection, providing a way to process emotions and celebrate life’s beauty while fostering a sense of emotional well-being.” Heather Bergstrom

Heather Bergstrom is an artist who tells stories through her art.  She paints and draws expressive scenes which evoke feelings of contentment, nostalgia, and joie de vivre. She says, “I view my art as a joyful respite in the middle of life’s hardships.” Heather draws inspiration from childhood memories, nature, historical figures, and by studying the works of her favorite artists. Her favorite mediums are acrylic, oil, watercolor, pen and ink and charcoal and graphite.

An advocate for art education, Heather is an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University, College of the Arts. She teaches private and group painting classes for teens and adults in other locations as well. As an advocate for arts and culture in Palm Beach County, she is the former President of the Wellington Art Society (WAS), Exhibition Chair, and Public Relations co-chair, and has attained WAS Signature Member status. She is also a member of Artists of Palm Beach County (APBC), Lake Worth Art League, and Urban Sketchers of the Palm Beaches.

Heather is the proud recipient of several awards from art festivals and exhibitions and participates in juried art fairs and gallery exhibitions in southeast Florida. Recently, she completed a residency at Zero Empty Spaces in Palm Beach Gardens. Heather is honored to have her painting “Flying Ace” permanently displayed in the main lobby of the new Jupiter Town Hall. The Town acquired the piece after it was awarded “Best in Show” by the Jupiter Art Committee.

When she is not in her studio creating, Heather can be found pursuing her passion for teaching, curating public art exhibitions, advocating for arts and culture in her community, and volunteering her time and talents to make art available to those in need.

THE SOUL IN THEIR EYES by Cynthia George - A SPECIAL PRESENTATION

Cynthia George is an award-winning artist whose animal-focused work is centered on the belief that the eyes are the window to the soul. In her show, she seeks to capture the "voice" of each animal, creating pieces that allow them to speak to the viewer directly through the canvas.

Beyond their aesthetic beauty, many of the works in this show carry a vital message of conservation and environmental awareness. Through Soul in Their Eyes, George creates a space where art meets advocacy, urging the audience to recognize the sentience of the animals we share the planet with and the importance of protecting their future.

  • Exhibition Dates: April 7 – June 2, 2026.

  • Public Reception: Tuesday, April 28, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

  • Gallery Hours: Open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

MONTHLY MEETING - FEATURED SPEAKER: AYESHA DELORENZO - Beyond the Reference: The Technical and Emotional Journey to Realism

Beyond the Reference: The Technical and Emotional Journey to Realism

For Ayesha DeLorenzo, realism isn’t a goal to be captured—it’s a form that materializes from abstraction. She begins in a state of pure chaos, using a raw, formless foundation of color rather than a reference photo to dictate the composition. This expansion from a messy, abstract start into a structured reality requires a unique blend of technical mastery and emotional grit.

As she navigates the inevitable "ugly phases," Ayesha shares the specific color recipes and the brushes she uses to coax order out of the initial disaster. You’ll see exactly how her internal vision takes shape, sharpening from a blur of pigment into a lifelike masterpiece. It is a masterclass in trusting the process, showing that true realism is born when you have the courage to start with nothing but a mess.

Solo Show - CYNTHIA GEORGE - THE SOUL IN THEIR EYES - RECEPTION Tuesday April 28 5-7pm

“My themes are not always serious. Some works are whimsical and lighthearted, inviting curiosity or a smile. At its core, however, my art is about storytelling. Each piece holds a moment, a feeling, or an unspoken narrative that continues beyond the canvas.

Currently, my work is complemented by wildlife subjects. Animals allow me to explore emotion in a raw and instinctive way, free from language yet rich with meaning. I am drawn to their expressions, posture, and presence, using them as vessels to reflect human experiences such as vulnerability, strength, connection, and solitude.

It is very important to me that when a painting is completed, it speaks—as if it has its own voice. Whether that voice is gentle or challenging, comforting or unsettling, its purpose is the same: to start a conversation. That conversation may be positive or negative, internal or shared, but it should be real.

If a viewer pauses, feels something unexpected, or walks away thinking differently than before, then the artwork has fulfilled its purpose.”

WELLINGTON VILLAGE HALL - SOLO SHOW #3 CHARLES MOSES - RECEPTION JAN 27, 5-7pm

Canadian Geese

Charles was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and currently resides in Loxahatchee, Florida.

He was educated in the Palm Beach County school system and achieved a degree in Business Administration from Northwood University.

His passion for art started early with a painting for his mom. Encouraged by her, he painted through school, gaining recognition from teachers. His art skills are largely self-taught.

Unable to pursue art full-time, he started his career in IT in 1971, which took him and his family to the northeast. This experience influences his art today, featuring fall landscapes and lighthouses.

After retiring from the corporate world, he focused on art, experimenting with landscapes, seascapes, and portraits. He primarily works with oil on canvas and enjoys having music in the background while creating his art.

Charles is a member of the Wellington Art Society and The Cultural Council of PBC Florida, where he studies and learns new art techniques. He also volunteers with Arts for Smiles to bring joy to kids in Palm Beach County.

He endeavors to integrate the theme of "See the Music" into all his projects.

When not painting, Charles spends time with family and friends and travels as much as possible.

MONTHLY MEETING - FEATURED SPEAKER PALOMA EDEN

“At the core of my artistic expression lies a passion for connection, curiosity, and a hunger to explore human emotions and our existence. Diverse mediums allow me to authentically convey different emotions, messages, and aspects of my creative vision, which seeks to unravel the depths of our emotional landscape and give form to intricate complexities of the human soul. I enjoy creating portraits that reveal subjects in their rawness, to tell stories of triumph, resilience, and the beauty that lies within vulnerability.

Inspired by the vastness and depth of the physical world, my art navigates between realism and abstraction. Galaxies and abstract motifs frequently emerge in my paintings and serve as devotion to the Divine.

Passionate about preserving the art of penmanship, the elegance of calligraphy allows me to connect with others and encourage individuals along their journeys through the beauty of words.

What draws me to create art is the desire to connect deeply with others. I aspire to ignite a spark in others, offering hope and encouragement to pursue their unique passions, dreams, and callings.

Today, as an artist, I am pursuing my dream of devoting myself and becoming fully involvedin art and its community through painting, calligraphy and Flamenco.” Paloma Eden
